When I read this Vnnet article on Shai Agassi's comments on open source at the Churchill Club, it seemed too contrary my private conversation with him earlier in the week (disclosure: SAP Ventures is an investor in my company, Socialtext, a commercial open source company, that is). Luckily, I was able to listen to a podcast of the conversation with John Markoff. In a five minute span at 35:30, you will find the comments being taken out of context.
UPDATE: I see Jeff Nolan made a similar point to the above, biases aside, you decide.
